Waste Your Afternoon Playing The “Pick Someone Up From LAX” Game (Yes, It’s A Real Thing)

Driving to, through, and from LAX are just one of the minefield traffic adventures that make up being an Angeleno.

So, in an effort to do “research” about how to maximize efficiency around an airport that refuses to let you calmly cruise in, park somewhere for 15 minutes and then pick up your friend without considering you a national security issue, Councilmember Mike Bonin has created a game that asks you questions about your average LAX trip but makes it feel like a game.

A game that’s actually way more fun than driving to LAX and picking someone up. It’s appropriately called Beat LAX Traffic.

The Choose-Your-Adventure video game asks you where you are coming from, where you plan to park, what you plan to do with you life, and whether its assessment of how long you would be around LAX is accurate. Then they tell you they are  working on a light rail system and a pick-up lot with parking that will “help” the situation.

Play the game here if you want to “waste” five minutes of your day on a game that ultimately might help LAX traffic. Or not, because we’re cynical bastards.
